In cross country practice after an hour long run, everybody is drenched in sweat but I am barely glistening. Also, at the start of the season I am the same speed as everybody, but everybody keeps putting on speed but I never make any drastic improvements. I drink adequates amount of water and take protein, so what is the problem. I also get shin splints easily no matter what, I get new shoes, strenghtening exercise but I always get them. Is it my genetics telling me I should not be running?
