and when they do, nobody buys them?

Stop asking for foreign models please. They sell like shit when they get here and end up getting dropped for our superior Americanized versions.

case in point are the guys who say Toyota should bring over the Hilux.

We already have the larger more powerful Tacoma. Oh you want a diesel?
Are you willing to pay for what is essentially a commercial vehicle? No? You want to jew the dealers down to nothing?
Congrats, you'll never see the more expensive diesel models. Especially when you can have a larger fullsize truck that outperforms the little Hilux.

but just to prove the Americans don't want little Jap trucks, GM actually listened and gave us one. The Colorado/Canyon is the Isuzu D-MAX the rest of the world gets...and they are being discontinued because nobody here wants them.

ummm, when has any of them actually brought their TRUE high end european versions over here that we've demanded and tried to sell them??

What they do is bring over the line, but not the hotrodded versions we ask for. Instead we get their piece of shit bottom end versions which of course won't sell.

Give us the fucking twin turbo package with the rally suspension and etc. you dumbfucks. We don't need another 1 liter grocery getting egg on wheels that has chipmunks under the hood.

grass is always greener, and that has more to do with OTers taste versus the general US population than anything :dunno:

we like good cars, most Americans don't

I want a small, stickshift, 4-cyl, turbo-diesel sedan/hatch/wagon that isn't $25K and a clusterfuck like a VW. They sell these everywhere else.

Yeah, because someone is going to spend 50k on a Focus. :ugh:

funny, it's not 50k overseas.

and now you find the problem. the Big 3 won't make the same vehicles here because the fucking costs thanks to unions will make a 25k car a 50k car.

Luckily Mitsubishi and Subaru have proven that if you drop hotrodded small euro coupes into the US market, they do sell.

1. They probably won't bother going through the process of bringing over a model because a limited....very limited...amount of customers want rally suspension and twin turbos.

2. Bringing over models isn't as cut/dry as it seems. There will be costly changes/modifications to meet our great government's regulations.
