Nope, no law abiding citzen needs a gun for home defense, they can just pick up the phone and call understaffed 911 call center where 20% of all calls for help will go completely unanswered, and if they're one of the lucky few who were able to get through, they still have to find a way to survive the more than 6 minute average national response time of the police.
yea a gun would have helped in all those situations!
thats not the point. the point is, the cops arent going to be there for you when you need them the most.
actaully, if shots were fired help may have arrived.
That's the sound of any and all logic flying right over your head.
Those were merely two or three examples of more than 27,000 calls which went unanswered in a short period of time.
OMG LET someone come in my front door "looking for their niece Tameeka". Her parents will be REALLY pissed at the bitch when Uncle Tyrone gets sent home with a bullet in his head.
When I saw "Tameeka" in the article I just lost it, uncontrollable laughter right there.
now people see why i carry. our police force is shit. i swear everytime i turn on the news there is a story about crooked cops and bad stuff
and I pack it
Holy thread resurrection, Batman!
At first I was like wtf someone posted this months ago. Then I looked at the date
I'm surprised our pitiful excuse of a police force hasn't made the news more..
Yes, if that family had a gun, the nephew wouldn't have had to run to the fire station. It makes perfect sense.
yeah b/c all calls that are placed to 911 involve someone getting hurt. no one is ever robbed or attacked
I just randomly searched for Chattanooga and found this thread.
I'll be purchasing a gun in the next few weeks.
Good luck, and for the love of ammo, be safe with it. Your reputation is not unearned.
I realize this.
All I can say is I've been raised around guns and always been taught to respect them. I'm a damn solid shot, and have a strong desire to not go to jail, so it wouldn't be abused.
exactly. and when someone is breaking into your house, and you dial 911 and no one answers, it's better that you DON'T have a gun so you won't be tempted to stop the threat yourself.
I've always loved when you call and they put you on hold the second they answer.
