ignore the vista part
my piece of shit q6600 dell inspiron 530 with a Geforce 250 plays it at 1900x1200 in full res just fine.
why is it rofl
dont explain or anything
i asked because I don't know genius. get off your high horse.
I don't know exactly how fast the 4670 is, so I don't know. Just looking at your CPU though, no.
Why vista and not 7?
you can't build a box cheaper than you can buy one these days. If you're doing it for the hobby of it great, but don't expect to save money by building a box.
I got my "pile of shit dell" for $499 from dell with a 22" flat panel almost a year and a half ago and it still will play any game I throw at it full res...
cpu is fine however that video card is utter shit.
seagates are failures
where's the powersupply?
what video card do you recommend?
windows 7 i have, ignore vista
gtx 260 or an ati 4870
for that price just buy a ps3.
That rig wont play MW2 or GTA4.
GTA4 needs like a fucking GTX295 to be playable @ highest detail. Shit is so poorly coded.
No, with that budget video card, and that weak processor, you won't be doing any kind of hardcore, high settings, top level gaming at all.
That is really a pathetic build. You could do much better.
because on OT, the people who reply like this have the best pc's, anything below posters pc specs is garbage to them. ot is full of ballers it seems, except when it comes to buying anything in yard sale
That's false. By building a box yourself, you'll be getting much better specs for the price you'd be paying than if you paid that price for a pre-built box.
i agree the video card is a little weak but the processor is just fine. I can play pretty much every game out there maxed the fuck out with my E5200 and GTX260. Even Crysis plays good on my system.
not true at all. your flat panel is the cheapest you can buy off dell, which go for like $100 for their poor color recreation and viewing angles and lifespan etc etc. the actual computer could be built for less as well.
It's not a bad build, but you really need to pump a little bit more money into your video card and then you should be fine. 70 bucks isn't going to cut it, 130-150 would be a much better price point and you would get double the performance. If you are on a budget, but need a gaming machine...do not skimp out on the video card, but don't go too crazy with it. I have a 285GTX, but there are plenty of amazing ATI cards for 150-160 bucks that aren't much slower than my 400 dollar card.
This should be able to run those games that you are wanting to run after pretty much max settings. I know this will spike the price of the computer up a 100 dollars, but trust me it will be a worthy 100 dollars.
Jesus christ why do people still buy ATI
