TECH Wired computers cannot see other wired computers?

So my setup goes like this:

Modem -> router. I also have a switch which is connected to one of the router's LAN ports.

Connected to the switch I have my media center and 3 of my roommates PCs. Thing is none of the computers connected to the switch can see any of the others connected to the switch in the "view networked computers" section of network places. They can ping each other but cannot see them. Also all computers do have internet access.

Over wireless I can see everything from my laptop.

All PCs on the same workgroup. Any ideas? I feel like it may be something stupid.

Sounds like your router is preventing communication between machines a-la "Coffee Shop Mode". Alternately, if everyone's computers belong to different Windows Workgroups, that can also cause problems.

I have a linksys with dd-wrt. any ideas?
