Anything with a flat sole, really.
Then why do weightlifting shoes have the heels lifted?
I guess more hamstring/ posterior work emphasis at least if wearing wrestling shoes...
i wouldn't think so, wrestling shoes are designed for mobility and traction, for a squat and deadlift you want something with a hard sole and lots of support
i use 'em
I used to wear otomix... which was as flat as wrestling shoes.
Now I just wear running shoes... probably not the best either though.
i use asics wrestling shoes.. don't remember the exact model. i like 'em a lot, esp compared to running shoes
Get some Chucks
heels lifted is more quad emphasis
Weightlifting shoes have a higher heel because it makes it easier to get in the deep squat position. I'm not a fan of Chucks for olympic or front squats since they limit your ankle mobility.
what do you think of wrestling shoes for squats and deads?
I use Puma's for deadlifts and Olympic Weightlifting shoes for squats.
i've a couple guys in the gym pulling 495+ in bare feet
If you lift PL style, they are good. Otherwise, go with a real weightlifting shoe, I hate how my wrestling shoes feel for deep squats
