Hit 350 off a 2 board today in my Titan Fury.... it was a good day for me.
Good job, broly.
what's your best meet bench again? Nice job
Best one that counted was 286..
nice, congrats brah
350 is respectable... gj!
ITS ALL YOU BRO.
good job tho
da fuck is that in ur av?
Compete at 220.. i'm ~ 230 right now. My next meet is coming up may 26th.
not trying to be a prick, but at 230 you should be doing that for reps (raw) off a board. Get your shoulders and triceps stronger. If you want to continue in this sport (regardless of federation) you shouldn't be shirting up to hit 350 off a 2-board.
however, progress is progress... keep it up. Just make sure you don't do too much shirted board work or else you might run into touching problems. Raw reverse (green or light) band benching will help you more at this point.
sorry, n00b here, but whats a 2 board?
basically i think its just a piece of wood that you put on ur chest so you don't have to go down as far to touch on the descent of a bench press. 2 board is one of the lower ones...there's 3-4-5 board and maybe 6 , not sure. ive never used them personally but its basically for training certain spots on the bench press.
My board/shirt work is very low to be honest. This is the second time I've benched in my shirt this training cycle and I'll be in it two more times before the meet maybe 3. I've got another board day then full reps/test day and then the meet. Bench is definately coming along but its been a slow process for me. Tri and Shoulder has been and will continue to be a priority for me. Also.. whats a good "goal" for bench? 2x bw?
ahh thanks, is it mainly used by powerlifters?
Yup its one of the many devices/tools they use to work on their bench in a shirt.
and to paintballny , personally when i hit 350 raw I will be VERY happy 400+ would be ... Then again someone posted a video of some 200lb dude benching 500 raw so ...
it helps them train different points of the lift (1-2-3 boards away from chest)
300 raw is my current goal... sigh.. its a ways away..
You gotta stop thinking like that. I was benching 315 for reps at 245 senior year in high school. Know that you're going to do it and put everything you have into every single workout. It doesn't matter if its an extra workout, a recovery workout, a deload day, or a max effort balls to the wall day. It took me less than 5 months to go from 245 raw bench to 315 for reps... and this was on my own workout schedule in high school without a fucking clue as to what I was doing.
Don't make excuses, don't find reasons as to why you aren't doing it... find what you need to fix, fix it, and get fucking huge. You are a dedicated lifter... you've had the balls to compete. I know you have what it takes to get stronger and to get stronger quickly. For people that are 225+, a 315 raw bench isn't too impressive, hell I think my raw bench isn't impressive and its well over 400. Get your plan together and give it hell.
Cliffs: never be satisfied
Nice camera angle, I've always wanted to see straight up your grundle.
I was thinking about wearing a singlet
