bro, Netflix and HBOMax might be the most egregious product placement motherfuckers out there. HBO product placed starbucks in Game Of Thronesyeah Netflix, Prime (although they love slipping stuff in before shows), HBOmax and Disney+ and video games don't have ads. But for some reason Cable TV cant make do with just the Ad revenue they have to charge an arm and a leg on top of that. Now an argument could be made in the past that you were paying distribution and hardware costs but that's mostly bullshit today.
