Everything I watch on cable is recorded. I even have a feature enabled that allows you to just hit ff and it auto plays the next segment after commercials (doesn't work with all channels). I don't watch commercials on cable, I often wonder why they even bother when you can pause live tv and come back an hour later and skip through the commercials too

And recently YouTube tv decided to not work on my Apple TV 4K. So I got that going for me.

Works well for us. There were times it glitched out but for the most part it works. The app layout is crap though imho. I don't like having to click around so much to go between DVR content and live TV.

But that 4K looks nice when it's available. Makes dish network look so dated

Agreed. Crazy how netflix can do it and provide tons and tons of content at $12 a month, but cable can't compete at $80 a month without commercials.
