hit me up if you want suggestions for an iptv service

is it a legit iptv service or a garbage one that has a bunch of buffering and connection issues once it becomes popular?

anything that requires you buy an android box and is pre built is usually trash. i know so many people that bought one of those boxes and 'it has everything' but after a while it is complete garbage.

the last one i ran into, while at a friends house, told me it was the best thing, he was trying to get it to switch to a different wireless network because he just switched ISPs and he was using the all in one box from the ISP (this is why you don't do that) and going through the wireless switching process on the android box was a nightmare. every time he change a network setting it needed to be rebooted and it took 2-3 minutes to boot. it was garbage. he paid for the android box and he pays a monthly fee.

I found the right iptv from him cuz I was tired of crappy iptvs. I feel content with the current iptv that is much less buffering than the others.

heaven's fence.
fubo is up to $75/mo for their cheapest plan now too.

i'm finding it impossible to get reliable hockey game viewing without it though, short of paying for cable again.

since espn blacks out local games, even using a vpn isn't not reliable.

i made a mistake on the zip part (edited post)

i didn't look to see what fubo has that YTV doesn't have/charges more for.

how does using a VPN not work for your local blackout games?

fubo doesn't have my zip code listed, which i find hard to believe and it is the same as youtube TV, but i didn't look to see what is 'extra' that YTV doesn't have/charges morefor.

roughly half the time, or more, it still says its blacked out. and i don't think i have anything wrong with the vpn's settings since it does work sometimes. its set to be app inclusive for espn+. and i can tell the espn app recognizes that its a different network since it lists the cable network in the upper right when you open it, and its not the same as my actual one.

but it still buffers? that's crap.

the other part of streaming is quality. netflix is always turning to shit even though i've adjusted the settings to show me the higher/better quality. this is not a ISP package issue, i'm on the 800mb package and when i do a speed test when netflix turns to shit i'm always over 500mb.

that's odd. how is the VPN set up for that device? are you watching on a set top or your computer? is it VPN for your entire network or a single device?

if you are picking a location that isn't local to where the game is being played/televised there is no reason it shouldn't work unless the VPN IP you are using has been blacklisted because people are using it to bypass their current location.

the vpn is loaded onto the firestick i watch the espn app on. i usually use dallas as the location (i'm in NY)
winscribe isn't the most common vpn, so i'd hope i'm safe there blacklisting wise.

Very tiny buffering depending on channels.

Between the slow move towards ads and the unbearable content getting held hostage behind a million different subscription based apps I'm ready to just go off the grid and live in the hills.

Every-fucking-thing is a scam these days.

I'm looking for a temporary apartment as I get my more permanent housing situation figured out and in order, and I found something I liked, so I started going forward with it.

A place I was looking at told me they don't do security deposits and they tried to make it sound all good "you only have to pay a $20 fee! We avoid security deposits for the benefit of our tenants!". Already a red flag, they don't do shit like this to benefit anyone but themselves, but I kept going forward with it.

Turns out, instead of a security deposit, they want a $450 "move in fee", then another $200 fee for the whole "zero deposit" thing, and on top of that they use some shitty app where I would have to pay a $22 fee/month indefinitely for this whole "zero deposit" scam. None of this money I would get back, it's not a deposit it's just "we take your money and keep taking it". Lastly, I would have to sign something saying that they could take an additional $1600 out of my account when I leave, similar to a deposit, but instead it's just them taking more money.

I told them "I don't give a fuck about having to pay a deposit because I have always gotten that money back, just let me pay a deposit and if I leave this place in a heap then take it, and if not, give it back" but nope, they won't allow that.

Shit is such a scam these days.

you will not get youtubetv/fubo/hulu etc quality from an iptv service. they will all buffer from time to time. they also cost a fraction of legitimate services, so it's not expected to be perfect

My Verizon FIOS 300/300 is like $35/month.
Similar here

I’m at the following per month:
Internets: $45
YouTube TV: $82
HBO: $15
Disney+: $11

Still less than what I was paying for cable + add ons. Not much less, but less.
